for the 270 awning, theres brackets you can get from kings for the mk3 tent awning pole. just go in and show them the problem, they should know what to sell you :)

I have a similar problem with my Darche rooftop and my Kings awning. I am going to try and make a bracket mounted on the back of the awning which the arm can sit in over the top of the awning. It will require a shorter spring arm so I will try to find some spring steel rod to make it out of rather than cut the original arm.

i ended up making new brackets to lower the awning and it worked out great. The arms now go into their slots over the top of the awning and it also makes it easier to unzip and zip up the cover.

Oh that's the go! I see that Kings have an awning mount extender that people are using. I jumped on the Kings MT2 forum and had a look at the workaround for the issue.

How many batteries do you run to keep your power going, and lights etc, I am asking because I am thinking of doing some travelling,

In the Ute, a 100ah Enerdrive lithium battery and 240ah of lithium in the kings.

not sure if this is the same issue but i watched a bush company video about a similar issue with a awning mounted and not being able to use the tension rods for the rain cover. They ended up making a new tension rod with a dogs leg in it to get up an over the awning.

Hey Damien, Kings have a fix for the issue now. They have an awning extension bracket to allow clearance for the awning and tension rods *thank god! But... I will have to let you know how I go once I replace the awning on our MT2... as it only lasted 10 seconds and was absolutely shredded after a big gust of wind came through our camp at the tip fml. lol

After owning a v5 135 plus motop for 15 months now I am very pissed off an disappointed and $2000 worse off . The motop is rubbish I wish I never brought it. The tape inside the tent is lifting and the lining on the canvas inside also is lifting and I open it regularly and still mould and condensation gets in.

Mate! No good! We have since upgraded our towing vehicle and we sold the motop along with the vehicle. Sounds like we may have dodged a bullet there.

@EWL2023 sounds like you did. I'm hoping to find out on Tuesday to see if motop will cover it with their warranty. If not I think consumers affairs will be getting a call

@EWL2023 just an update on the motop roof top tent. Dealer covered it with warranty so at present all good. New one was fitted today. Big thank you to Daniel
