I had both rooks pierced nearly 20 years ago, I had them done a month apart because sleeping on it while its healing is a painful experience, they however heal in about 20 days and then totally painless. Since then I have removed all piercings except the rooks and they honestly are very cool as a lone piercing and generate a lot of interest. I have short straight barbells in both. The piercing itself was not that bad, I did bleed a lot on the right side but the pain of having a needle shoved through cartilage was tolerable. I'm now 55 years old and my kids friends think I'm the coolest dad they know.

@louisemorrison40854 жыл бұрын
Bart Simpson well people’s experiences are different, his piercings healed in 20 days probably because he took care of them. everyone is different
@royalmilotic4 жыл бұрын
@@louisemorrison4085 no seriously, it's not about personal experiences. a rook never takes such little time to heal, that's impossible even if you had the best aftercare and experience ever

Got my rook pierced four days ago and I'd say it was probably a 3 when the needle was going in. It was my first piercing (not counting my lobe I got when I was way younger). I also got my helix and I was surprised to have a different pain. My rook hasn't swollen much and it doesn't hurt. So if your worried about the pain I'd say just get it done. Those 2 seconds of pain are worth it as long as you care for it correctly.

Mine was like a 2/10. It took like 2 seconds for my piercer. I think as long as you have a fast piercer... piercings aren’t so bad. I also have very thick cartilage on my rook area if that helps anyone.

My rook piercing was the most painful by far. The healing process is terrible so far. It hurts so badly for me. I can’t even touch my ear right now. I got it done 5 days ago. I have 15 piercings currently and have had 29 in the past. I have a super high pain tolerance. I love seeing how each person is different from the next with piercings though.

Nice video and i like your looks a lot! i got my rook pierced yesterday together with a centered labret and i have several other piercings (lobes, helix, ... the list goes on). I gota admit: even the labret was worse then the rook! i didnt really flinch when the needle went through and i don't really feel anything except from the warmth on the ear. can even sleep on it. easiest piercing ever so far.

Im getting my rook, industrial, and double helix pierced tmr and im watching a bunch if videos on them. I dont really know y. I did the same thing when i got my nose pierced and my parents really agree with the part that if i dont like it i can take it out. My parents let me get piercings bc if i end up not liking it i can just take it out cuz its not like a tattoo. But im still allowed to get tattoos i just have to be 15, i have to pay for it myself, and it has to have a meaning behind it.

Had my rook pierced about 2 months ago. The pain was not that much. The healing takes a long time for me. After a few weeks I could sleep on it but my ear is still a bit swolen. It did not get infected but I think I had it sunburned a few days after piercing. Maybe that is the reason why it is still a bit swolen. When I touch it I still feel a little pain, but that is all. I really like the piercing and I think it is worth the trouble.

Good vid 👍 just got my second rook done 2-3 days ago, had gotten my first one done about 3 yrs ago, same time I got both tragus piercings done, so had kind of forgotten the pain, but it was like a 2, just sore a bit now but I’m sure it will heal as nicely as my others- have 40 ish total/ conch (1), helix (10?), lobes (22?) nostril (2).... idk if I added right but about that amount. No lip, tongue, septum, navel etc. just ears and nose.
