I’m here in 2024 for some Michael Jordan nostalgia. So happy I witnessed his entire career. THE GOAT!!!
@radar04126 күн бұрын
Yeah, I witnessed his whole career including college. Kinda difficult for me to warm up to Michael because Magic and Larry were my guys, and Michael posed a threat to their dominance. However I'm glad it didn't get in the way of wanting to watch big games Michael was a part of.

Players back then: Michael Jordan "The game is only played 2-3 hours a day, it's one of the easiest jobs I've ever had" Shaq: "When you’re living in a world where 40 million people have been laid off and I’m making $200 million, you won’t get no complaining from me. I’d play back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back" Charles Barkley: "you'd think players should play 82 games now because of the access to better training, recovery, and sports science" Players today: LeBron "why are we flying all the way to Milwaukee for a pre-season game?" Embiid "I don't think I'm ever playing back to backs again" Draymond - ppl dont know what it's like to play back to backs, or 3 games in 4 nights, and dont know what it's like to have a hectic travel schedule, and people take days off from their jobs anyway, so shut up. Okay Draymond do you know whats its like working 40, 50, 60 plus hours a week, travelling by car, bus, or train (not a fancy private jet), and only having a certain amount of sick days (that some companies won't even pay time for)? While making 50k a year, not 25.8 million like you do?

There’s a picture of MJ dunking on a player after he took off from the baseline… I can’t find the photo online but it’s in a video by Morlich209 titled “Michael Jordan highest jumps” and is at the 5:08 mark… I gotta see either more images or the film of this game… it’s sad that we are missing a lot of those 80’s games.. I just cannot find any more images or videos of this dunk anywhere online :( - hopefully the date is correct.

MJ was hailed the new Dr J to the point where Dr J became MJ Light. But could a super high-scorer ever win a title? J West was who MJ was compared to. Was MJ too selfish? MJ's first 3 playoff exits without Scottie and Horace turned into MVP Gold '87-88 when they arrived, The Shot, Detroit, coaching change, Detroit, and an unseen Chicago Dynasty erupting on the road in LA. Doberman Bulls. The Clutch God. The Worm. #33. The Triangle. 6-0. What A Ride 🔥🐂🏀

I liked it when professional ballers wore suits to the arena. Jordan was a leader in pushing guys to wear suits to the arena and to press conferences. That level.of professionalism was awesome to watch. Then came Allen Iverson with the braids and street swag that lowered the bar. Now everyone wears sweats and hoodies and look like the average Joe. Not cool when you're paid tens of millions of dollars. Guys should take pride in elevating the image of pro athletes and the league. The general public should be able to discern a difference between the fans and the players.
