I went into an appointment with a ridiculous PMU artist who made it ALL ABOUT HERSELF! She charges you a $100 deposit and while talking to the PMU for the first 10 minutes, she got extremely rude and just gross. I refused to accept service from her and she still kept my $100 deposit. Im so thankful you arent anything like her, I dont know how she is still in business with that type of attitude. 😬

Hi Anna, my name is Evie and I'm currently a nail technician (2+ years). I want to transition into the microblading business.. For the past few days I've been researching about microblading and wanted to know how long did it take for you to start picking up on business? I have my doubts about if I'm going to be good enough because of course, academy is $$$$! I really liked this video. Thank you!

Hi Evie, thanks for sharing! We all have to start somewhere right? I encourage you to think about how long it took you to become “good enough” at nail art? I’d bet much sooner than you thought :) I encourage you to think about WHY you want to go into Microblading and if the reason is strong enough, then you must overcome that fear of not being “good enough.” It took me only a few months to pick up on business, but it took me 1+ year to get my mindset over the fear and start feeling confident in my craft and my abilities as an entrepreneur (to be honest I’m still working on it aha). Wishing you best of luck! ✨

Will you have a training class for beginners & refreshers?
@annazhang

Hi love, yes! I recently poured my heart and soul into launching a 3-day group training class. It is in-person & located in NYC. The training is both beginner & experienced-friendly. Alternatively, I offer 1-day workshops for artists who just want to come in for a day and watch me perform a service/get their questions answered. You can find more info at this site: www.babyfacebrows.com/training ❤

Hey! Just found your video. I’m in NY as well (Buffalo) and want to get certified in micro blading. Can you point me in the direction of what my very first step should be? Do I need to find a certification course? Do I just need to apply for a tattoo license? I’m guessing that our requirements are going to be more than most other states, just because we’re in NY and that’s how we roll 😝

Hi Kay that's amazing! If I was just starting out, I would find a trainer who's offering the style I want to learn. Most of the trainers will require a BBP certification (which you can complete quickly online) before taking their class. During your microblading course, your trainer will let you know what certifications you need to get. In NY, you essentially just need a tattoo license. You can get this done immediately before or after your microblading certification.

How does your client policy look, I’m interested on what to look for?
@annazhang

Hi there! I highly recommend following other artists on Instagram and visiting their booking page to see how everyone's client policy looks. Pretend to be a client and follow the steps to "sign up" for an appointment. This way, you'll see the types of questions they ask/information they provide to clients. You can find mine at my website: www.babyfacebrows.com/appointments
