What a great video guys! The backdrop scenery at the Pryors looks so beautiful. Rookie you nailed it when you said the Yellowstone is our "artery," it definitely is our lifeline out here! Theo- the plume agate--- goodness gracious she is a beauty! Kyle, World of Rockhounds, you are officially named our team polisher!!!! You have mad skills my friend. Thank you Kate, for taking the boys out on the river- looks like it was a fantastic day island hopping. Theo, I Love the cut of the petrified round... it's stunning! Everyone reading this....oh boy - you are going to absolutely no doubt 100% love the rockhounding videos that will be coming your way from Rookie's trip here to Montana from Australia.... see you all soon!

Don't know why, but the bottoms of the round of the pet wood made me think of a colorful Kokopelli dancing!❤ And Rookie has to be one of the most pleasant, humble and coolest KZbinrs out there (present company included of course 😊)!

Yay my favourite rockhounds all in one spot - ran and got a coffee before watching this one!!! Absolute bangers!!! I'm surprised Rookie could even speak and only had 1 happy dance - but then the Yellowstone...like the Yellowstone -- We Australasians can only dream of that many great rocks in one place.

The TSA is the most beautiful one I’ve seen you all have found. I’m glad Jesse had the chance to be there with you all. I love it when you rockhounds get together. It’s so like a family. Kate was so excited! I don’t blame her I would be too. Mr. Did seemed to have fun too.

Holy cow, welcome Jesse to America, so glad to have you for the wedding. I'm just floored at the gorgeous finds, I think my favorite is the pet-wood/agate/jasper, although the bot-agate comes in a close second, and awesome pet-wood finds as well. Can't wait for Part 2!

Hi Theo, not a bad purchase, did it come with free delivery.😁 You have to be careful with those “Rookies” they sometimes escape an$ go back to their old home, bit like homing pigeon. Great to see you, Rookies, Kate & Jim out on the Yellowstone, looks like you all had a great day. Some great looking finds as well. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin

Jesse! Theo! You two! You did this hunt while I was probably in Michigan at my boyfriend's dad's wedding after I drove east a few days earlier! You all got some gorgeous scores....and Theo....BIG ups to you to showing me the Yellowstone ropes. I came home to Oregon thru Montana just a few days after the wedding and Jesse leaving and spent HOURS on the river. Found some nice jasper, a small Unakite, and a BIG piece of agatized wood. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your adventures with all of us. I'll post my finds on Insta and tag you. Feel free to roast me. 😂😂❤

Love your collabs as they are all people I also love--which I guess sums up the entirety of the rockhounding community in general? Okay, I've always wanted to ask this but feared it was too, I dunno, controversial or something, but given my previous statement, guess that's silly--so here it goes. >> I've often wondered what to do with some specimens that would be a nightmare or even impossible to surface polish but that otherwise look great when wet. I've tried oils and a few other recipes that I've found along the way--most or all if I'm honest are either "meh" results-wise or end up goopy with dust and oil. I've seen folks preserve fossils using a self-levelling floor polish with great results. Has anyone ever tried that with, say, a lumpy-bumpy agate? I'm sure it would be heck to remove but I can imagine it harms the specimen in any way? I'm sure there is a reason that it's not common practice so, take it easy on me comments section 🏔
