I don't mind change sometimes, but I usually go by "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". In The Bill theme's case, it didn't need any altering.

Actually this was in 2000. The BBC News 'apocalyptic rave' theme debuted in 1999. (But Bill didn't do that joke until a few years after this, so fundamentally you are correct.)

I can understand the Roopak being 7 beats from the syllables you presented but I can't get the 14 beats from the Jhoomra I was wondering if you could maybes explain it a bit further. LOL Mark Russell was the arranger of the 4:4 tune (1998-2001). As well as creating the whole thing, the 7:4 and their variations (1983-1998) other one would have been done by Andy Pask and Charlie Morgan?
