@@FlickeringMyth Me neither, other than the general frailty of these awards and their methodology for selection. The Oscars in particular have a well-known bias against child actors. But there has NEVER been a young actor like Jacob Tremblay. When they made this movie, long before everyone had a clue about his amazing talents and lovable, charismatic personality, it was mind-blowing. He should have been the first child to win Best Actor. He's got tons left in the tank but it hurts to be robbed so early. His intensity, focus, ability to act with his eyes and economy of facial expressions- my goodness they put 99% of adult actors to shame when he was 8.
