Ahhhh Shelia White first recall her in I Claudius.....her Jan Francis, Lysette Anthony and Judi Bowker made 70s/80s UK TV sexy.

Thanks a lot for uploading more Rooms👍 Hadn't occurred to me from watching him in 'Are You Being Served?' but Arthur Brough looks & sounds very much like Winston Churchill, makes his scenes clashing with the long haired jack the lad Michael Standing all the funnier.

Micheal Standing, most famous for "Blowing the bloody doors off!" I've known his nephew Bob for many years. He speaks about Uncle Micheal when prompted, although they're not in touch any more. I remember there was a big falling out in the 1980s about something. Micheal Standing was married to actress June Cunningham. As a child, Bob spent a lot of time with the couple, who's back garden backed onto Peter Seller's. It was often a case of "Mr Sellers, can we have our ball back?" I was talking to my partner about Micheal Standing once, saying how he appeared in virtually every 1960s TV show in the UK at the time and that if you watch anything on talking pictures there's a 50/50 chance He'll turn up. I put on the TV minutes later and there He was! I think it was "The Saint " or something. Little has been heard of Micheal for years now. He invested in a sci_fi movie in the early 1980s which didn't really do much for him. After that, who knows? I asked his nephew Bob who told me: "He was last seen in a California valley. Apart from that I don't know if He's even still alive"

Blindingly good bit of background you have provided here for all too see. I remember him well in The Italian Job but that's about it. I never realised he led such a prolific career as a character actor it seems. Cheers for that Robert, got me wondering if that sci-fi film Standing was investing in ever got made?

Michael Standing appeared in cult kid's TV show Ace Of Wands and Tomorrow People. He made an appearance in Gideon's Way.

@ do as firstly it’s a brilliant series written by John Sullivan (only fools and horses) but Ann Lynn and Sylvia Kay (who is also in this Rooms series) are brilliant as the polar opposite snobby and gauche Mothers of the couple.
