Well damn, this comment was a year ago? Everything has changed and this song has a whole new meaning to me now, unfortunately. After a decade together my ex-fiance suddenly left me for another guy. I've been trying very hard to "move on" and Roosevelt has been a huge inspiration, I'm so thankful this dude's music exists. It’s seldom do I come across songs with corresponding music videos outlining the detail of the my personal experience of heartbreak as well as grief and recovery in such similarity as I and others have experienced. Very detailed in four minutes so well. Elevator respresentation of a relationship on the downward slope. Tunnel of love is representation of love they share together, the lights in the tunnel representing the good and bad occuring during the relationship. Eventually it becomes all red, symbolism for loss and the anger fighting towards each other. He looses her halfway through it in real life. Instances of him going back after her to find her. Older man is the therapist providing him guidance with therapy stage of recovery post breakup. Reviewing everything that happened, where did she go. The birds in the mirror with him is self reflection. CCTV monitors are memories, of him that he is forgetting her in while still missing her. Revisiting old places, which are his memories of events just without her. I genuinely can say I love this song, can’t stop enjoying it in it’s entirety the kind of cigarette burn this gives me.
