There have been many great people with one word for their name....Aristotle, Voltaire, Prince, Madonna, but none so incredible as Me. Me has never sought fame, fortune, or to better mankind. His contribution to society is one sentence that encapsulates our world completely. It shows that the overwhelming majority of this generation are not original or unique. They use statements of former great thinkers to further their own thought process and agenda. “People love quoting people” by Me will go down in history as the greatest statement of all time. I will be writing a book compiling all of Me’s brilliant concepts, thoughts, and ideas. 😂😂😂😂

In 1914, my family came to America through Ellis Island from Germany; the journey by land was arduous and they arrived too late to take the ship, they had originally planned..the Titanic, by one day. I had always wondered why they would take such a large family from all they have known in Germany to migrate to the "New World" for a different life. Watching these World History Documentaries answers many of my questions as there are rumors within the family that they were once Jewish.

Socialism is on the rise and freedom of speech is constantly under threat but that certainly isn’t coming from Trump or the republicans. Watching the DNC conference the other week where they essentially blamed trump for everything and pushed an anti capitalist, socialist agenda based purely on identity politics and group think should put this very much into perspective. Unfortunately socialism hasn’t died a brutal death and that’s the main thing everyone should be concerned about. Equal outcome ends in equal misery and ultimately death.

....and they weren't wrong. History validated this fear. The Iron Curtain that descended upon all of Europe following WW2 landed on the collective necks of Germany. Their nation was divided into two different nation-states (East and West Germany); territory was stripped from them; Berliners were separated from their families by a massive wall manned by Soviet machine gunners; and Berlin would've been starved to death in 1949 after Stalin cut off all deliveries of food and supplies to them. It would've worked too had the US Air Force not undertaken a massive airlift campaign to deliver food and medicine to them to keep everyone in the city alive. The German women who'd survived the war and were often left widowed and childless were raped by the occupying Red Army on a daily basis; children were not allowed to attend school because the Soviets sent them to work camps in Siberia as a slave labor force simply because they had family members who were registered members of their towns' National Socialist Party local chapters, or they had fathers or brothers who served in the Waffen SS during the war. All of these things were not only excused by the Soviets in the post-war years, they were lauded as the most effective steps in the "de-Nazification" process. Trust me, the Communists were no better. The Nazis endangered the German people by starting a war they couldn't win. The Communists spent the next 45 years torturing, degrading, and humiliating the German people when they were most vulnerable after losing that war they couldn't win.

Especially the economical one which is described only one sentence as far as I can make it out "millions of Germans were unemployed, they were unsatisfied". It was always interesting to learn about World history in Junior High School, High School, and College. It was particularly interesting to learn the history of the various conflicts the world had to endure and particularly the cause of these conflicts, the origins that led to millions of human lives lost. Most interesting was that we learned about dictators, totalitarian governments, despots and how they rose to power. As an American, despots and dictators was a foreign concept to us students and although we had many questions, we simply could not relate to an American president with absolute power. As the son of a World War II combat veteran and 2 uncles who served in the European theater, I'm glad they are not alive today to see what America has become with Donald Trump as president. This is the closest America has EVER come to a dictatorship, loss of freedom, racial hatred, and division. America better be careful, when we become complacent we can sink into the depths of totalitarianism as easy as any nation on earth. Liberty and freedom is a fragile concept and this generation of Americans are proof to that.

@Bunkiebe wow. I guess our democracy doesn't work after all. I guess it's time to stop all elections, revoke the constitution and start marshall law. We can begin by imprisoning the traitors of our country starting with you, AND if you believe any of this it's time for you to take off the tin foiled hat!

@@GHustle4 Americans are not "crying" about the 2nd amendment. They are however defending it, as has always been the case.
