You almost made me cry watching this because, when I was a girl I used to make Root Beer for my Dad and he loved it. He would have been 89 on Flag Day, he passed into our memories in 2000. This brought back some very lovely and happy memories. Thank you.

I had a soap idea, where you put different scent of what the theme of the soap would be! For example, a blueberry themed soap but it smells like lemons, and a grape themed soap smelling like strawberries! They could be called ‘ What The Scent!? ‘ Soaps!

Hey Katie! I’m a Starbucks barista and a tip that’s always been really helpful when creating latte art is that the higher you pour from, the more the “milk” (soap in your case) will sink! You might have already known that, but thought I’d mention it to help anyone who doesn’t!

HI KATIE!!! I just recently watched one of your videos and think it would be a marvelous idea to make a “THE GIVING TREE” inspire soap. When I picture such a thing, I imagine a wavy layered bar. One which has a transparent leaf green layer in the middle with mini Apple 🍎 shaped embeds. I think it would be such a cool soap idea that a multitude of people of different ages could love. I make cupcakes and sell them for people’s events and the Wilton open star tip is my absolute favorite! It gives you the fluffy and full affect for pictures but there’s not a giant gob of icing with every bite of cupcake! The wide ridges also hold just the right amount of sprinkles! Your soaps remind me of some of my favorite cupcakes I’ve made in the past! Keep up the beautiful work! 💜

I love your videos so much Katie! Since I discovered you a couple of months ago, when I've felt in need of cheering up I head over to your channel. I was even inspired to try making soap! It was a hilarious disaster - the mixture turned very thick very quickly, while I was still blending it. So thick in fact that I thought the blender was going to break! It stopped going round and stood bolt upright, and the rest of the lye wasn't even mixed in!! I couldn't help but laugh at such a disastrous first effort at cold process, but even though it was such a mess I had such fun doing it I think I'll try again one day after I find out what I did wrong! It's so lovely watching you doing it properly, you're so creative. Btw that first slice of this soap you show, the glycerin rivers make it look like a very happy one-eyed cat! S/he's even waving at me! Fantastic!

I prefer Barq’s but I think that’s because locally that’s what we get at restaurants on fountain. A&W is good but only comes bottled so it’s missing the fountainish effect (?). And I do not like licorice, but my grandmother loved it and was that person who would eat the black jelly beans. And I’m excited to see the other drink themed soaps you come up with.

@@chinadollsyndrome the straw actually stays in there for a long time and doesn't fall apart quickly. I haven't pulled the straw out yet and I've used the soap (a different scent than this one...berry mojito) off and on for over a month.

The Mika line you’re doing on the soap frosting makes it look so realistic because the ice cream gets a layer of frozen root beer stuck on it which is my favorite part tbh

let me tell you about my older sister. i have 2 vivid memories of my childhood and her pulling pranks. first time i was 2 or 3 and we were playing out side. she would see a car coming and she would say "quick, hide! its our real parents come to take us back" and would hide with me. then laugh hysterically. then a few years later, i was making myself a bowl of rice crispies, but i couldn't read yet. i asked if if "this" was sugar. she grinned and nodded her head. so i loaded up, and i do mean loaded. yep, it was flour. i wasn't olden enough to know the difference.
