Great video doc! I’ve got two questions tho 1.when applying balanced force technique, is precurving the files required? 2.is the risk of causing separated instrument when using a k file applying balanced force technique high?

Any increased risk of file separation using balanced force ?

If a k file gets stuck then a counter clockwise turn will most likely break it

I had my first session of RTC yesterday and the way my endodontist was talking about what she was doing, guiding me along was very comforting AND interesting. So this is great to watch and listen to.

I like this technique because it follows the curve of the canal. Less chance of transporting the apex

Ash, can you please please please do a video on how to use the sybronendo system b back fill technique? We never learned how to do a backfill in dental school. I have no idea how to properly obturate a wide bucco-lingual canal (ie. premolar canals) without knowing how to backfill. Please help!!! Thanks in advance!

The balanced force technique is a smaller version of what we do when we hand cut threads on a screw or other piece of metal. We place the threader at the top of the metal bar and we twist and push down one or two rotations then we reverse the action with one full turn to break the metal pieces that have built up in the interior of the threader tool.
