Good to see you getting nice grips after 3 years. It seems we have mirrored each other on these. My Tridents have come out in beautiful leaf now. I look forward to seeing where yours are at next year. Great stuff :)

@@GrowingBonsai I showed my 3 year trident and elm root on rock about 6 weeks ago. Don't worry about it...you actually have to work😉

Good review and guidance on a root-over-rock styling and process. You covered the aspects to producing one and how it progresses. Thank you.

Although we are going into Autumn here, I will bookmark this for spring, when I have a few RORs that will need attention. Those rocks are lovely, I might need to lift my rock-collecting game!

I feel that a good rock is a must to get a great ROR bonsai.

I need to try the baked potato method! With tinfoil/aluminium foil. Plastic wrap works best on my ficus root over rock. But I would like to make some different types. Perhaps with some of my seedlings!
@GrowingBonsai Жыл бұрын
Give it a try. Big benefit is that you can shape it to the rock.

Does rocks PH level realy matter in bonsai??
@GrowingBonsai2 ай бұрын
I think it matters a little for acid-loving species. But most trees just want a slightly acidic soil which you normally would have.
