U have to flash ur stock rom with odin because u did not disable oem unlocking before doing whatever was said in the video.

You have to flash the latest available firmware

Also sometimes it won't flash and give you an error. Just reboot back to download mode and start again.

Have you downloaded the latest twrp. I rooted oreo without any issue. Just flashed it via Odin, booted to recovery and it was fine

In odin turn off the AUTO RESTART option. Flash twrp and when its successful, remove battery and place again. Then press volume up + home + power button and it will boot into twrp
