Isnt having SELinux support the whole point of flashing a new kernel/recovery? All you guys have to do is check from SELinux support from about phone. If you have it you are good to go and dont need to flash the recovery as shown in this video. You are likely to have it if you are currently running a 4.3 ROM. I had SlimBean on my GT-n7000 and had no issues with flashing Omni ROM 4.4

hi there zedomax! installed all the files you've shown in your tutorials..and i must say, it really worked wonders to my note1..thought it is already obsolete but you gave it another lease on life :) many thanks..though i have one question, after installing your n7000-cwm-kitkatcompatible file and used omni4.4.420150520-n7000-final and the 4.4Gapps, it keeps on warning me about "keep" being unable to use, and the google playstore and other apps..but when i checked the google apps, it's working..any idea on why this has been showing up on my cellphone? many thanks...

This ROM is awesome, it's very neat. Thanks, Max! But I couldn't find S-Note and Samsung Apps anywhere on the phone. The S-Pen also doesn't work too well, the button on the pen has no use at all in this ROM. Let me now if the problems are fixed!

Its a vanilla rom. Thus there should be no S Apps. IMO to use S Apps to its full potential, u have to use touchwiz rom.

Hi I had a succesfull instal but after a time got problems with the system. I did a factory reset and did the same as you did above. It worked but when I Rooted my device again, it crashes everytime when I reboot at the point when the yellow icon appears. I was wondering if I must root first before I instal kitkat 4.4.2. Plz help

I wanna know if that is a ROM u r actually gonna use or its just a preview of the ROM . there r many ROMs on the web but its difficult to choose I'v already tried some of them but they all suck . the only ROM that can actually be better than stock is CM and since the cyanogen dev team is still working on CM11 ROM and the nightly is a disaster . I can't help but waiting . all I wanna know is if u r recommending this ROM or not . and I wanna know if omni and asylum omni are different or not .

*NEED HELP PLS* 1-My phone doesn't keep time/date/language when I reboot 2-The language goes back to French when I reboot 3-All my apps show the stop error when i make any setting change after reboot 4-Any app that I install after reboot will disappear on the next reboot, except the SU app I installed as zip from sdcard in CWM-based recovery window 5-The phone make sound when I connect to pc but doesn't to ask to chose connection mode, so pc doesn't detect it even though I have USB Debug enabled 6-I did the wipe data/factory reset several times but there's no change when i switch ON the phone even though the wipe data/factory reset was successful. 7-The only button combination that works is the one to go to Download Mode (Volume Down + Home + Power ) 8-I can only go to Recovery Mode when I try to factory reset in the phone settings. The phone will restart and take me to Recovery Mode -Odin is unable to detect the phone. I just think is the internal storage that is corrupted or something but i can't tell for sure. Awsome i flashed 4.4.4 aosp rom with overclocking to 1.6 out of the box n7000 feels like a new device fast and stable but battery overheats i think the reasone is overclocking.

hey Nimish i would recommend that you google these words:note1 root check in results highonandroid.com site.the provided link will take you to that site in the secion dedicated for note1.u will find tutorials and links to update ur recovery.The tricky part with Note1 is that the recovery is part of the kernel so u need to flash the recovery and the kernel to be able to flash kitkat roms on ur Note1.Good luck .

It happened to me too, I lost root after flashing omni rom for gt n7100 but then i installed the zip file for the latest version of SuperSu from CF through my custom recovery(PhilZ 6) and gained root again but SUperSU app is missing.

I don't get it... If its a Nightly version, first it means something is NOT working, so the ROM is NOT 100% stable. And since this is tutorial, you SHOULD start by passing this info and non-working issues you DO KNOW, before the step-by-step.

you need to flash the stock ROM using Odin software. I had the same problem on my samsung galaxy note1 n7000 and when I installed the stock ROM, the phone booted normally ^^
