I have spent the last hour watching your videos. Every vid I watch I'm more and more convinced that you are by far the best teacher around. I am an experienced reborn artist but I have just learnt so much in the last hour, thank you so much! You are my hero xx

Great video, Kim. If I were to reborn, I would talk the lazy way out, and, use the fork gauge. It looks to be the simplest to use. Have a great day.

Thank you for this tutorial series, I just rooted my 1st reborn and the scalp had a bunch of damage as I used the needles that came in my BB kit (38 gauge). This made me very upset and I wish I would have seen this series before I started rooting.

Good morning Kim!! I love your tutorials. Please help me to know how much hair to order for reborning if your baby head is 14 3/4?? I don't want to order hair and not have enough then can not find the same lot.
@Customdollbabycom8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Not to answer your question with a question, but it depends on how thick you intend to root the hair. With a 14" head, I'm guessing this is a 21" doll? Unless you root really thick, the standard 1/4 to 1/2 oz should cover it.

Kim...how are you ? Are you still reborning ? I'm making reborn dolls. I enjoy watching your videos. Looks like you haven't been on here in awhile. I did know you had a baby years ago. So what are you doing now?

What rooting tool are you using?
@Customdollbabycom8 жыл бұрын
I like to use these two: German Wooden Rooting Tool macphersoncrafts.com/en/online-store/hair-rooting/rooting-tools/german-wooden-rooting-tool-detail Dimensions Felting Tool amzn.com/B004W8SR06 Only Bountiful Baby needles are small enough to fit the Dimensions tool

😔 I have gone through so many rooting needles. They keep breaking. What am I doing wrong? I'm a beginner. I use needles that look like the ones on the table in your video
@rebornrubberducky7 жыл бұрын
gooseberry47 you need to slow down patience is key. Also it felines on the toll you're using and how much pressure you are putting when rooting. I recommend you paint hair first then root over it so if you miss some hair it won't be as noticeable and can look fuller depending on the hair painted. I do a light soft painted hair and then sparsely root over it to give it a 3D newborn effect
