Rooting Fruit Tree Cuttings

7/4/20 This video is a reply to Betty Mattke concerning my method of rooting cuttings.

my neighbor pruned his peach trees last fall and I took several of his branches for cuttings. 0% made it... admittedly I half-arsed it. Next time they prune those trees I will incorporate your methods hopefully with better success. Thank you Stephen!

Hello mate If it's any help Earlier this year I prune a nectarine grown from seed and simply throw the cuttings on the ground, and they are half covered by the mulch with some moisture and a few months later I realized that they were alive and showing signs of rooting and I also went to another area with more humidity and they are alive and rooted and progressing for me, the key is to place them horizontally, in this way the contact donut of bark and earth is maximum The same thing happened to me with some apple cuttings. I didn't try it with peach tree yet I also have some types of plums that grow very well from cuttings

Thank you for commenting! I did not actually do what I was talking about in the video. The video was made to answer a question about how to do it. I personally would probably not try to root peach cuttings, or any other stone fruit. I believe the success rate would probably be very low.

Personalmente, probablemente no intentaría enraizar esquejes de melocotón ni ninguna otra fruta de hueso. Creo que la tasa de éxito probablemente sería muy baja.
