lead guitarist Al Anderson told Roger Steffens in an interview that this song was written just in front of the studio : "Bob wrote this song just about elements in front of him. I've never seen any songwriter do so." the Wailers' members were in some cases "co-writers" , threwing lines to Bob when the latter was writing the songs.
