Dramatizes the case of a family in which the father respects and loves his wife and children, permitting each to develop as an individual, learn important life skills, and put down strong roots for the future, and contrasts this with a family in which the the parents seem to ignore one another, hostility is present, and the children are not shown love or taught responsibility and a strong sense of self.

It has taken me about a year and a half of solitude to begin to see light at the end of as long, dark and cold tunnel. I still have much to learn and solidify, and these videos are making things nice. It truly is the simple things in life that can really help with the bigger things. I will give myself at least one more year and a half to fully form as a human being. If you get a chance, give yourself a much needed break from everything.

As simple and paternalistic as this film is I feel that a lot of young parents even today could benefit from it's message. Something like the "Thrive at Five" free TED talk says the same thing. Your babies and little ones need face to face interaction. Even as little as five minutes talking or watching your baby and toddler will benefit them. They need to know that they truly exist. So many true crime cases seem to be about seriously neglected children.

11:19 "A wise man never plants more trees than he can care for. Fewer trees well spaced properly cultivated, will grow better than many trees planted too close together. It is a foolish man who brags, 'Look how many trees I have planted!', forgetting that he may not be able to care for them properly. Forgetting how much water young trees need." If only they could invent a rubber tent to cover the trees, so their seeds don't accidentally spread all over the property and make unwanted trees. OR maybe they can wait until the unwanted trees grow up and bear fruit, and then the foolish man can make money from the fruit of the unwanted trees.

Tony Thorne, the author of “Dictionary of Contemporary Slang,” tells David Remnick. “The references to ‘woke’ before 2016, 2017, 2018 were kind of straightforward. It means ‘socially aware,’ ‘empathetic,’ ” Thorne says. “Then the right, the conservative right, seizes hold of this word,” to heap blame on it for everything from deadly mass shootings to lower military recruitment.

Yes we should all be farming tobacco and other crops in the hot sun. 3:10 “The work is hard the land is cool, it is difficult for a man to earn a living” 3:18 This is the story of how people are, how they act with each other, how they are happy and contented, or miserable and afraid, the problems they have 3:45 When the house hold has a significant large amount of children living in the home some of the children take on secondary parental roll. 14:29 Having arguments in-front of the children isn’t okay. 15:30 You clearly didn’t watch the film living in poverty, doing backbreaking farm work in the hot sun and still being poor isn’t something that most sensible people want. Arguing especially in front of children isn’t okay. It’s a great film I’ll give you that, but most of us in upper middle and high class would rather not be in their situation. 👍🏼

I think what he means is that he finds the images of the young girl in this film pleasing. While he watches them he can build a fantasy around the images where he is able be with the girl and please her and she in return is able please him. Unfortunately for him, she is not a real girl, with a real character, a real body and real feelings, she lives only in his imagination. He eats the rest of his pizza off the front of his shirt, opens another beer and a single solitary tear rolls down the side of his cheek. It is a sad story and it does not have a happy ending.

I just could not stand eating rice and beans everyday. I hate rice. It serves no purpose. Beans hold nutritional value but they are disgusting. Why can't these so called "MEN" build decent homes for their families. This shack has no glass in the windows. No furniture. Nothing. A real man will do EVERYTHING he can to provide a better life for his family. Better yet, a real man has already provided a nice environment before he starts a family.
