This wonderful actor even now in his senior years sweats class, sophistication, and cool sexy. One of my all time favorites. Thank you for posting this program. Loved it!

What I like about this show is that it was very American but it gave recognition to celebs who were international and came from non-English speaking countries.

Mr.Jourdan was such a great actor,with charisma to spare. Today's so called "stars" become insignificant when compared with him. He was extremely handsome,and oh how the camera loved him. RIP,Sir.

Louis Jordan’s American accent is surprisingly good for a non native speaker. Really goes to show how great of an actor he is.

The fantastic Louis Jourdan! And the WML crew. A classy group of people. People we would have actually liked to meet and even invited to dinner. TY for posting. Present day celebs seem to be mostly trash with cash, or mentally ill, or both.

Well I tried to post a link to one of Louis' guest panelist appearances, but it doesn't seem to have taken. Do a KZbin search on: what's my line McClellan. Senator McClellan was the mystery guest on one of Jourdan's panelist appearances - the one in 1955.

I grew up with this show (my mother was a contestant in 1964) I also have been a fan of Louis Jourdan since I saw him as a little girl in "GiGi" Who could have imagined then, that the question "are you a man" would be politically incorrect"

@AAMLfan "is this someone that the 'bobbysoxers' might be very excited about?" "Bobbysoxers" was a 1950's term for teenage girls. Basically, Robert was asking if Mr. Jourdan's fan base was old or young.

Excellent. To see why they were astounded at his "American voice," an astonishment I shared, see watch?v=PIJobPF6YqY . There also used to be a clip on KZbin of Gene Kelly as the mystery guest and on that occasion as well Louis Jordan was a panelist.

John slipped up here. At 3.06, Rbt Q. Lewis asked: "Are you American?", to which the answer was (indirectly stated to be) no, but Daly let Robert continue on.

Jordan pretty much gave himself away by talking too much. The panel picked up that he was foreign, and that quickly narrowed it down allowing them to guess him
@Kuchlenz15 жыл бұрын
Actually, Louis Jourdan was born in 1921 - despite what Wikipedia says. That would make him 88 (until June 19, 2010). I have irrefutable proof.

as another sign of our changing times, as the little kids said in response to one of the panelists guesses, what's a department store Santa Claus,? a chance to sit in his lap today would be a true miracle on 34th Street. But who knows, miracles happen everyday
