I enjoyed the video. I loved the info on the electric fencing. I need to add electric fencing to the gardens to keep the deer, groundhogs, and rabbits out. The deer started jumping the fence I have and eating everything up. That was great on milking 2 cows and 3 goats.

Setting up and moving the camera also adds time to the milking routine, which might also be why it took a bit longer this time around. Appreciate all the great tips you shared.

Not only fun to watch but no sweat on my part! I'm in FL and understand the humidity drainage problem. But making it a challenge probably helped to make it better than just normal work.

That first drill you also had the adrenaline of the upcoming appointment. It’s harder to create that pressure artificially. Under an hour though is still superhuman.

Hi Miah - check out the last video on Coghill Farm channel - he has added a sun shade to the side of their mobile coop, along with a water misting system (they are in midst of mini drought) - extra steps but if you are keeping them in place for a couple of weeks not a ton more extra time to maintain.

I don’t remember which homesteader said this but he’d put his chickens under shade trees, too, and the hawks killed all his chickens by dropping down from the branches into the coop. Good luck!

When the ground gets hard Sow the land uses a drill and drills two holes in the ground were the two prong feet need to go.. 🤗 And you did do pretty quick work of milking the cows and the sheep 💪

Thanks for sharing details on the chicken relocation. The other day, Jess mentioned that you will be waiting on the house build. I had a thought about a different project (as if you need more projects). I really enjoy the videos where the parent takes one or more of their kids on a major building project. With Melia coming to SC, what do you think of building a tiny house on wheels with her? She could probably use the space and it would be very confidence building for her if she was up for it.

I agree with you, Miah, I can stand the temperatures 39-43°C most days in our dry summer(winter rainfall area), but when clouds build up for stormy weather more inland, the humidity takes it out of me too.

nice video Miah, the willow tree you planted when you came first, is looking amazing... l think you could plant more trees around on the fields so that in five, ten more years you have a lot more shade spots for the animals...

You may want to put a beach umbrella up or a low shade cloth over the coop since it is so hot. By the way I love the aerial shots of the farm. It shows how well manicured your land is. It is luscious.
