@@CarolCap131 you are welcome, actually that day was a solo run resort domination day, so I, at 48 years old, was moving fast. Try to ropedrop ropedrop - come in at Harbor when they form the line for esplanade at 6:45am (if this is possible for you) to go through security - it beats even parking at Toy Story - I actually bused in using a local city bus! I ended up doing 54 attractions, both parks that domination day from 8am to midnight! I did the rest of Fantasyland (and then some) from 10:45pm to about 11:45pm

I never rope drop Peter Pan. I go on Alice first then other dark rides. I’ll add in dumbo, Casey jr depending on the line. Around 9:30 I’ve noticed the PeterPan line drops to 30 minutes. It ends up being the only ride need to wait in line for everything else is walk on.

If your going home after your 12 attractions, while it's not really part of Fantasy Land, you could always take the train to the front gate, giving you the magic number of 13 attractions ridden. This was fun David. Especially for as you mentioned, family's with young children. Or big kids too.

Last time I went to Disneyland it had rained and I was on the Carrousel right before it was supposed to close for the fireworks(all the other dark rides were closed already and the cues were practically empty). But then out of nowhere, all the dark rides reopened excluding Alice(since the fireworks were canceled) and I was able to do Peter Pan in 10 minutes and the others were walk-ons!! The funniest part is that the app still showed the rides closed!

Good neighbor hotels on harbor blvd is where its at. We showed up at 7:15 every day and were first to 3rd in line for the opener each day. Speed walk, not run to where you are going at rope drop and you'll be good. One morning on our last visit we decided to rope drop Matterhorn and were the very first group on the ride. My daughter (8yo) was proud to be first to be on the ride that day!!!

Great video. I needed this before my trip in April. We did 6 fantasyland rides by 10:30am and then I had a breakfast reservation. I was hoping to get all/most of the land done by then. It was a busy day though. Tail end of spring break. I didn't consider how long storybook land was and I didn't know they had less boats. I did Alice, Storybook Land, Dumbo, Casey Jr, Pinocchio and the Teacups. Dumbo and Casey Jr were both just over 30 minutes each which kind of messed me up but I could tell it was a busy day and I didn't think they'd get better later. Dang Casey Jr for only running one train!

Every time I make a trip down, it’s always 3 or 4 days in in the parks. My one rule is always rope drop of day one has to be fantasyland because it’s quintessential Disneyland. I usually save Peter Pan, storybook, and teacups for after dark though.

Yeah I have to agree, I love fantasyland in the morning and think it’s peak Disney. Mary poppins and Bert are my favorite and I always try to meet them because they are normal on the carrousel at 10 with the band. Like seeing them on the horses I think is better than getting on any ride

We love early entry rope drop at fantasy land. Get to do Peter Pan, snowwhite, Mr toads and the carrousel all before rope drop. Then we do chip & dale & then runaway railway & Rodger rabbit all within 60-90 minutes. Then we have knocked out most of the stuff for my 7 year old

i rope dropped peter pan on my 2nd solo day in march, same side, but i didn’t know hotel guests had early entry at dl that day so it was a bust. i waited anyway, tho, because i hadn’t ridden it in so long due to the typical cue. i also did alice, snow white and storybook land canal boats, which weren’t too bad, before moving on to the rest of the park and lightning lane attractions. had a total blast!

I've only been on the Matterhorn once and one time only...years ago I got on the ride with my best friend he sat in front I sat in back..the ride was very bumpy...at one time we smacked our heads together...the back of his head smack my forhead and I had a Headache for the rest of the day.. never rode the Matterhorn again.

My fantasyland ropedrop strategy is more shoot to Alice first, singleride Matterhorn, then go to Peter Pan after the crowd has died down, then do everything else and I've done it all in about 2 hours except for small world just because of how long the actual ride is.

You should do a Peter Pan recon! I prefer to arrive right at 8am, save myself waiting in the hub for 30 minutes, and doing Peter Pan a little later once the queue has calmed down (which it usually seems to do).

When Dland was run down in the mid 70's,, my friend and I jumped off of Alice and walked ahead of our caterpillar on the incline at the beginning of the ride. Disneyland had hit hard times , especially Fantasyland back then. Seems weird in this age of cameras.

I would go to Disneyland when it opened and head to the Pirates ride fallowed by Haunted Mansion. then later return to both rides when the parades happen most people go watch the parade and I would go to Pirates and Haunted Mansion during that time.

How much longer will these rides be popular? I know my kids have barely watched these movies. We still did the rides, but they had little connection to it as compared to me who grew up watching these movies.

I advocate that Peter Pan is NOT the ideal first stop unless, as you say, you are front of the rope drop crowd. You didn't lose a ton of time in this video at Peter Pan, but even 30 seconds later than you arrived could cost you an extra 10 minutes in the queue. You can run through Snow, Pinnocchio, and Toads all in that time that early in the day. We've regularly done all dark rides, dumbo, tea cups, and carousel within the first 40 minutes because everyone rushes to Pan first. Skipping Pan until later regularly has us going into that second hour having done everything but Pan, Matterhorn, and Small World. And that early in the day, you can still easily pump out those three in 60-75 minutes. You only save 30 minutes or so on what you did above, but Pan later or last is almost always the best strategy for us. Would love to see you test it though!

Didn't june 20th have early magic morning? I was in disneyland and DCA during this week you went, i was hoping to see you but unfortunately did not. We rope dropped DCA and did really well but when we tried to rope drop Disneyland, my alarm didnt go off so we woke up late so we didnt get to rope drop it. We did DCA June 20th and disneyland 21st and 22nd even though we wanted to start at disneyland, simply because of early magic morning, we didnt want to rope drop when those people would already be in the park on the rides.
