That is so cool! I recently got a knife and sheath from an oldtimer who passed away. It came with a spike which I had no idea what is was for. Thank you for your video. I have seen it can be used for knot undoing, but your use it way cooler. Nice to learn the old crafts! Keep it alive.

Cool way to make your own cordage for braiding. What sort of twine do you start with and where can these marlin spikes be found? Too bad my son is no longer in metal working class, be a good project for him.

Do you still sell these? If so, do you sell to the US? Your website appears to use a different form of currency than I’m used to so I thought it’d be safe to ask. I’ve been looking into getting myself a good marlinspike and this would be a really nice looking and useful choice.
