I know this comment is 2 years late...but don't forget about The Comedian. Arguably the best character in the Graphic Novel & the film, beautifully brought to life by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The Comedian is the catalyst for the entire story. The only member of both "The Minutemen" & "The Watchman". "Edward Blake, The Comedian, born 1918, buried in the rain. Murdered. Is that what happens to us? No time for friends? Only our enemies leave roses. Violent lives ending violently. Blake understood. Humans are savage in nature. No matter how much you try to dress it up, to disguise it. Blake saw society's true face. Chose to be a parody of it, a joke." Rorschach is definitely the strongest, most interesting part of Watchmen, and the true heart of the story...but in my opinion, Edward Blake is the best character. He was a piece of shit, but he was the smartest of the bunch. A man who truly understood human beings and the vile lengths they will go to. He discovered the truth before anyone else...and it shook him to the core. He knew Ozzy would come for him, and he faced death as fearlessly and as viciously as he dished it out. "Blake understood"

If you ask me, Rorschach was the peak of the foil of what Batman would be if he was sane and that may be funny to some thinking Rorschach the insane one in the Batman the one who knows what he's doing and is doing it the right way in the just way But ultimately there is drastic differences between the two if you ask me with both are just regular humans who are really smart and capable detectives as the main Baseline core of who they are with the fact that they are humans playing in the courts of gods being the important factor in the true essence of their characters with the main distinction being in how both of them go about their actions and the starting point both are in terms of the upbringings and the wealth they have in Batman's case and the lack thereof in rorschach's.....
@C_A_I_N_N6 ай бұрын
Honestly Batman is nothing more than a tourist who chose to step in this Arena with his billions upon trillions of dollars he could have poured into actually helpful methods with Harvey Dent being the perfect example of what Batman should have done and why are there what Bruce Wayne should have become if he actually wanted to create change in the world an appositive Banner with the power he had showing just how ridiculously insane he is in terms of how he chose to go about it instead where is Rorschach was someone who didn't come from great wealth or money and from the very start was forced to see the filth of the world but still had hope and ultimately if you ask me chose to go about dealing with the scum of the world the way that quite frankly Batman should if he actually wanted to create change as Batman instead of as Bruce Wayne never mind you this isn't to say I hate Batman's character or has no kill rule but that from a actually real-world standpoint if you were to look at it in perspective of them being perfect detective so you can get to the very root of exactly how a crime was committed and could reasonably deduce exactly who it was and why it happened, that they would be in the best position to actually be able to dull out Justice whether that be to send them to the authorities with the evidence of what could be just a minor crime Aura to ensure that they don't ever commit such a crime again in the case of the little girls killer.

Beyond all of this the fact that Rorschach when around these gods and in the situation he found himself in that led to his death where he could have turned a blind eye and pretended he saw nothing I could have been given who knows how much money to stay quiet about what actually happened but instead show that it wasn't just because he was born without the money and in the filth but he decided to fight against evil and crying and cruelty and Injustice but the fact that he knew in his heart that this was the right thing to do and that in this situation with what power he had, he would do everything he could to write the wrongs of the world and at bare minimum insure some level of peace and safety the best of his meager ability as a single individual human for no other reason than nothing would ever change if no one tried
