He used effects through out his carreer. He had a Boss ME-5 all-in-one effect (The granddaddy from the MD-80) He used a treble booster, sometimes he used a flanger (at least I heard it in a Shadow play live version ) He also used a Ibanez tubescreamer but I do not know what he used here and when he used what. The great thing from Rory live is that he improvises and also makes small mistakes, that makes me feel better about myself playing because I improvise and make those too (But I make a lot more small mistakes 🙂 ) I have no words to describe his energy and emotion in his playing and singing. Besides that he was a very friendly and modest person. Started listening to him in the 80's and still he is one of my favorites.

Wow this is beautiful! Somebody really cleaned up the picture! Rory wearing heart and soul on his sleeve. Understanding he had a purpose. But knowing he would see her again. If he left this world without finding her, perhaps it's because she wasn't in it as the same time as he was. I hope he found her again , wherever he may be. Because he deserved to have that unconditional love while he was still here. But as I say...purpose. He was a messenger. And whether you heard it first hand then met the man, or you found out about him too late Doesn't matter. You found him when you were meant to. So enjoy. Because he had a lot to give, and never asked for anything in return. And may God rest his soul. 🌈🌌💚🍀🇮🇪
