He kinda does! New wall murals have gone up. Since they washed a wall mural featuring Rory and then a line up of others off the wall from years ago i think 4 new and big and bold murals have gone up. There is the statue in Ballyshannon. Sculpture dedicated to him. Guitar replicas and plaques. They love Rory in Ireland.

Its sad that Rory never made 62. He had sadly passed away some 7 short years later. However Rory is immortal now and as the years go on and i look at little clips like this, i appreciate the man even more.

Never a better person or a musician! His music is the soundtrack of my youth! And such respect for what is about. I love this clip. Some of it is in Ghost Blues. Timeless. I have made it to 61, but in a twist of fate I broke my shoulder and arm. I really hope that I can begin to play again.

He was never underrated, he just didn't go mainstream, but back in the day he had a big fan base, and it's still growing, he never wanted to go commercial, like all those other 2 bit guitar players. The man was in a talent all of his own..

Hmmm.....sorry can't agree at all. Rory just being Rory, a humble man at one with his guitar,. Gay Byrne trying to be cool but can't hold a candle to the master. Dumb questions, patronizing and 'you can teach me guitar in 20 years?' Rory reluctantly shakes his hand.....Gay Byrne would've been better off asking him to play another song.
