people seriously underestimate how tough this course is. was there for an internship last year, played it a few times, probably the toughest course I've ever played. The rough is like cabbage

still not as bad as Oklahoma Bermuda, nothing grabs a hosel like it. no offense meant good sir. I have hacked it out of 5-6'' fescue in Kentucky its much easier. Main reason I love Southern Hills as a major venue

@@Hazzo88 Hahaha still need to get over in the states and play some Bermuda. Heading to Portugal next summer to play golf for the first time outside the UK - so maybe that'll give me a decent challenge.

@@spooksterz I dont mean to get all technical I played at Oklahoma State University (lotta pga guys from there not me lol) but Bermuda, the way the root structure is makes it incredibly difficult to get through the zone, you have to come in, quite steep to have a chance.

I seams like Rory no matter how good or close he hits it to the pin he disappointed after the shot. You do that for too long and your self esteem and confidents over the ball is going to plummet.

Crazy i searched for that comment. Seems Like Theres 2 Sides of the Coin. Being dissapointed makes you Push harder to get better. But lowers your confidence and positive Self Talk that you Need in Golf. Maybe thats the only Point where he has to work and get some smile on to his face.

Finally a sensible and realistic comment about Rory. I'm fed up with people saying he can't putt or he's a choker. Jealousy is a terrible thing and that's exactly what it boils down to. He's been at the top of the game for 15 years now and has won virtually everything there is to win bar The Masters. Give the guy a break or maybe even try and appreciate how good he is for once ffs 🙄

It's the epoxy now a days...not the clubs. Club heads are coming off more in the past 3-4 years. It used to be that the club shaft needed to break for a club head to go flying off, but now if you leave clubs in the truck of a car on a hot day....the epoxy softens up and when hitting a ball the club head can either turn on the shaft or just fly off. I had this happen to a driving iron of mine about a month ago at the driving range. It's the newest club in my bag built in 2019, Titleist U500. But leading up to the head flying down range, I had noticed the grip of the club was not lined up. I thought the grip tape had aged and had spun on the shaft. But two swings later and the club head went singing down range with an awesome whistle sound and ended up close to 150-yds out there.

We watch and note that had a few lip-outs and that last chip gone in he'd have been 64 or better! Amazing round...maybe Rory wins this one! Maybe too early to say this but I think -16 after 4 rounds for Rory, maybe even better!

I see the advantages of only following one player through a round instead of making a big mix. But I do think it would be a little more interesting if the video contained two players instead of just the one. It wouldn't be harder to edit.

Dear DP, Mr Mcllroy though a great golfer is one of the most OVERATED GOLFER of recent times by the media and certain vested interests of the PGA. Have nothing personal against him. He is a great and gifted golfer. But look at his results and achievements VS the hype.

Tricked me. I went back to look cause I never saw Trottie in the video. Then I realized you meant the club head. LOL. It's just the epoxy now a days. In today's world they aren't allowed to produce the same good stuff that worked so well.
