The DP World Tour resumes its 2024 season with the first event of a five-week stretch in the Middle East as the inaugural Dubai Invitational marks the start of the International Swing. World Number Two Rory McIlroy will be at the Dubai Creek Resort this week. The Northern Irishman has enjoyed great success in middle east, claiming five of his 16 DP World Tour titles in Dubai. The 34-year-old begins the new year aiming to win the sixth Harry Vardon Trophy of his career. Six-time DP World Tour winner Tommy Fleetwood will be in Dubai this week. He’s making back-to-back appearances on the DP World Tour as the Englishman looks to build on momentum generated from an impressive 2023 season, which included his second Ryder Cup win, and a runner up finish in Dubai at the DP World Tour Championship. DP World Tour Championship winner Nicolai Højgaard will also fancy his chances this week. He’ll be looking to kick on from a successful 2023 which included victories as part of Continental Europe in the inaugural Hero Cup and Team Europe in the Ryder Cup at Marco Simone, as well as earning PGA TOUR playing privileges for 2024 via the FedEx Cup. Others to look out for are Luke Donald, Francesco Molinari and Thriston Lawrence.

yes, it takes a real master of the game to hit novelty drivers that remove spin and add speed...and then push wedges 20 feet. at least he can putt. i wonder how rory would hold up against a real master like gary player or lee trevino, using real golf equipment that was not designed to remove spin from the ball, but accentuate any spin inherent in the golf swing...and balata covered wound balls that convert that spin to errant shots?

perhaps you're projecting... i pity rory and the rest of the so called 'best' professional golfers...they can never know if they could compete with the past greats of golf, since they cheat that game with the modern novelty game...which if you care to understand your history, was created and sold originally to HIGH handicap golfers. those clubs are for hackers and elderly. and due to a desire to sell them, and pocket millions of dollars, the pga made them official equipment for tournaments...then lengthened the golf courses so that only the biggest hitters using the novelty equipment could compete... and that is WHY golf has become so boring...it's the same dozen lumberjacks, who measure their games by 'club head speed', competing against each other every week!! hahahahha... gone are the ben hogans, gary players, and lee trevinos...they pga has limited the field to about 5-10 of the good golfers, who are over 6 feet, and can hit novelty drivers 300 yards in the air... so they can never be compared to the great golfers of the past, who didn't have access to high handicap equipment designed to REMOVE spin from the ball...the very thing mastery of the game is based on! hahahaha... you can have your plastic rory, with his novelty game....i'll take hogan and palmer and player and nicklaus and trevino and watson... golf today is the most boring version of itself in history and bound to get worse! the more money they pretend these posers are worth, the worse it gets! most of them don't know how to do anything else and would golf for minimum wage!! hahahahahahhahaa @@reeganmachin8059
