In the second round of The Genesis Invitational 2020, Rory McIlroy carded a 4-under 67 to get to 7-under for the tournament, two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend.

Tiger Woods is back in action at the newly-dubbed Genesis Invitational, where J.B. Holmes defends. The tournament could come down to tournament host Woods versus Bubba Watson as Tiger fights for a record-breaking 83rd PGA TOUR victory and Bubba goes in search of victory No. 4 at Riviera Country Club. This is the first year the tournament will be played as an invitational with all top five players in the world in the 120-strong field. Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson join Woods and Watson to fight for the 500 FedExCup points that goes to the winner. Who will emerge victorious?

Typical announcer, right off the bat he says, McIlroy will be disappointed with a birdie. This is the kind of commentating I've been hearing for the last God knows how many years that has just made watching golf no fun anymore. The announcer should have said, what an outstanding putt and just a little tap in for birdie! Because I'm sure anyone else out there that was watching that putt had to say to themselves what an outstanding attempt from outside of 35 ft! To leave it absolutely dead center and just a few inches off line from that distance should be rewarded with a compliment, instead we get the same old drab it makes watching golf almost unbearable!
