I just love the comments saying Dean was abusive and how dare he blow up in front of Paris, blah blah blah. How old is Dean supposed to be in this season? 17/18? Not old enough to act maturely and keep his emotions to himself. Fast forward several episodes and he wasn't that wrong after all, Rory kissed Jess at Sookie's wedding and dumped Dean for Jess. He was overemotional and immature, as he would be at that age, but he wasn't wrong.

I live in an area where kids acting out and causing problems was not ignored as 'childish behavior'. They were disciplined and punished because their behavior reflects badly on the parents. If they were 13 or 14, that's one thing as it was considered a 'phasing out stage', but it was no longer tolerated after age 16.

Personally a Jess fan, but definitely agree that Dean was in the right to be upset at Jess. I don’t really blame Rory, at least not yet at this point cause she’s just a confused kid figuring out her feelings and kinda tricked by Jess in this scene, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t hurt Dean’s feelings in the process. The yelling from Dean idk about, but again, it happens and he did apologize and try to be reasonable about it at first. At least until things escalated later in the relationship. I think people forget they’re essentially all kids here and making dumb mistakes or decisions while trying to figure their feelings out. P.S sorry for the essay lol
