Collected my Focus RS on Saturday after 3 years ownership of a ST3, I loved my ST, but the RS is in a different league. I can't stop driving mine, and have run out of words to describe how good it is. As for the driving position, if you stick with the standard seats, and don't opt for the shell seats, then not so much of a problem, I'm one happy motorist even after 5 days

The RS design team was headed by Tyrone Johnson who also was design leader of Ford victory at Le Mans in 2016. he is American but there were lots of brit and euro designers in the team too. The RS drive arrangement is so good that Audi and Merc are engineering a similar digitally-controlled assymetric 4WD system into models to be released soon. Why? because the Focus RS will beat them around a WET racetrack.

Foolishly, my safe and sensible head took over during lockdown and I very reluctantly decided to sell my mk 3.5 RS. Fortunately, lockdown wound down and my fun side has returned, so I'll hopefully buy another one very soon and keep this quite a bit longer! These motors have proven to keep their prices but you've got to pay a lot of cash up front for a 3-5 yr old, but you can't really lose on them. I think the signature colour nitrous blue is perfect. Anyone thinking of selling a Focus RS should think again.

+thatoriordanlad Absolutely. Have a look at the old Top Gear videos with the old trio, and compare with GT. They've lost all sense of passion, and love for cars. Seriously, the only time on GT I saw them be as excited about a car as when Hammond drove the 918 on TG or May drove the Singer 911 was the first episode with the holy trinity. Otherwise they may as well just forget any pretense of being like old Top Gear, because the passion just isn't there. Now Top Gear however, still has that passion, as is evident from Monkey Harris driving the Vulcan, Matt driving the 911R or indeed Rory here driving the Focus RS. So yes. New Top Gear = Focus RS (a few iffy things, but otherwise great) Grand Tour = Civic Type R (seems to have forgotten what kind of thing they're supposed to be doing) Fifth Gear = A45 AMG (technically sound, but just boring)

true but honestly as a potential customer I like the 5th gear reviews (of affordable cars) more than the national geographic motorshow clarkson-team started doing more and more so very happy to see top gear is still doing them, the coverage of the Focus in TGT was really "we couldn't care less" I was disappointed, they drive supercars too often they forgot what affordable cars are

I started watching Top Gear a long time ago, practically when I was a kid; and it changed me.It sparked my interest in cars and made me a huge Hammond, May and Clarkson fan. It made me a "car guy". But people now are watching this and getting pissed because there aren't the hosts we know and love. But aren't we still car guys? Can we not still just appreciate motoring for what it is? And when we do miss the hosts, we watch The Grand Tour.

Love my fk2 type R its stock with a map to 375bhp so pulls, its driver focused instead of fooling around. Oh and the gearbox is fantastic. Lests be honest a lot was overlooked in this video.

All these Grand Tour comments, but Rory Reid and Chris Harris are probably the best and most entertaining car presenters right now, miles ahead of the old team. I find the Grand Tour to be a farse that I can't enjoy. The new Top Gear isn't great either, but the two presenters should be given a new format for a show where they could thrive, of course they won't pull of the same format as the old team did, they need their own format, but I prefer them ahead of the old 3 presenters. Le Blanc and the other blonde guy were terrible though, I'll admit that.
