I lost my 10 yr old son almost 3 years ago to a virus and my Joseph had down syndrome as well like your beautiful and amazing little Indiana. Indy is learning so,much from Papa. And he speaks to Indy as if shes an adult. Her vocabulary will increase very much by this. Some folks baby kids with Down syndrome. Not Rory. He treats her as any child and speaks to her lovingly but allows her little girl ways to come through in everything she says and does. He truly is a parent to emulate. His farm his little girl his life is unfolding before us with such grace.

Indy is much better with a hammer than I am. I am also proud of her going up that rock ladder I would never had been able to do that. She just more and more precious every time I see her. May God bless you and your family always.

All of the "Beautiful Day" is special but my favorite part was Indy coming out on the porch in her little pj's with her cowgirl boots and western hat and back pack on. So cute as she walks with her Papa hand in hand to the movie. She actually traded her pink boots for a bit. The little joy filled swagger she has when she walks is priceless. Every one says she favors her mommy but I see alot of her papa in her too. Also I love that you tell Indy about Jesus and your prayer around the dinner table with your family giving God thanks for the wonders all around. Thank you Rory for being real. A trait that is far to rare in our country today. Also I am always amazed at all the things you let Indy try. She overcomes fear and says she is brave and she is right. 😊

Rory, I really never believed I had it in me to raise a child with special needs (Downs Syndrome), but after seeing Indi, see just wipes away all doubts, her smile just goes straight to your heart. They (if we let them) help us *see* things with our hearts, not only our eyes, to feel, to have a sense of wonder about the smallest thing, and they teach us what unconditional love is.
