Rory, how nice to meet you after watching the videos Hamash has recently made on the current happenings of Auksberry. It's also very nice to see your dad at this time, to meet his true self. Thank you for this. ...now I'll enjoy the rest of your series as I sip coffee on a chilled East Texas morning. Thank you, sir, for sharing your own perspectives of this wonderful place you call home.

The MicroPilot cheers mate - that’s very kind. Perhaps I’ll be able to find a way of combing that with flying one day!

What a fantastic series. I'm just sitting I'm my kitchen having a coffee watching it. 600 sheep too sheer using a pair of clippers WOW now that's some hard work. It must be hard living on the island in winter time it would be nice to see it. Thank you for sharing this video. Can't wait to see more.

I’m delighted you enjoyed it Jim. Hopefully I’ll be able to do some more from the island at some stage. Check out my brother, Hamish Auskerry’s channel on here. He’s made loads about island life on Auskerry.

Must be very a very wholesome feeling to have access to this sort of life, I know it’s not without its trials as with any life but I sort of yurn for the escape from the life in south yorkshire. It can be a little bit soulless in my area but we are still well off. Not sure what i’m trying to say lol, anyway thank you for sharing.

We are very lucky to have Auskerry in our lives and I am delighted you’ve enjoyed watching. I hope 2024 brings good things in Yorkshire.

What can I say that hasn’t been said already? These videos are absolutely fabulous. So professional and informative and your way of presenting isn’t one jot self-centred, as it could be, for you were brought up on Auskerry. We lived in Kirkwall for 20 years (me working at KGS) and we return every year - so to see island life portrayed in such a lovely manner is wonderful. Thank you!

Hi Paul, thank you very much for this kind comment. I'm delighted you enjoyed it and I hope you have many more trips to Orkney.

That was excellent ....you do know that Attenborough has to retire eventually. Such talent shouldn’t be ‘wasted’ flying inverted egg beaters !! Roll on part 2. John

WOW Rory, excellent stuff, awesome and a very interesting video... Great shots and expertly edited. Well done! I was wondering if the drone worked as a sheepdog drone? Really looking forward to the next one. Take care and stay safe
@RoryOnAir4 жыл бұрын
Jodel Flyer thanks very much Tim, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I think the sheep were a bit unsure of the drone and I didn’t want to mess up the gather by flying it close enough to scare them. That would have delayed the next meal! 🤣
