People can argue forever about who is the “greatest” guitarist and it doesn’t matter at all, to me. Rory is, simply, my favorite. I saw him perform in a small club in Philadelphia about a year after this performance and the memories of that experience are still with me. When I visited Ireland a few years ago I went to his home city, Cork, where in the public library they have a small but well-stocked Rory Gallagher Music Library - with all different kinds of music available to listen to and borrow. It seemed to be very active and it brought me to tears. If you’re a Rory fan, definitely look up the documentary “Ghost Blues.” Rock on!

I agree 100%! There really is no way to say who the “best” is. Because someone, somewhere is going to disagree. So yes, I believe it best to say who you favorite is. I’d say Rory is pretty high on my list! Plus this song just plain kicks!! From beginning to end!
