@@joycearmstrong1648 The way she plays with music genres sounds pretty new (not saying it’s new, not even her says it’s new, but it feels like new as she plays with the context). She put many asymmetrical songs with some Latin influence but they don’t sound like the Latin music I’ve heard before. She starts with a reggaeton beat and ends up with a super dark experimental sound (as for example in her song Diablo) or introduces flamenco influence in the way she sings some songs that have nothing to do with flamenco. She is very creative.

The passion of this woman is beyond my understanding. She cares for her vision and works, fights for it to become real. Been a fan since 2018 but this Rosalía, Motomami Rosalía, looks way more confident than her previous versions. She's transformed into a warrior, a voice of power, and I truly respect that. Can't wait to listen to the whole project in a few hours.

but Spanish is very different to the rest of europe specially than north european cultures. spain is just another mood, much more influenced for north africa and all that oriental cultures on the gipsy groove. british artist for example, are much moore in common, and in Spain being friendly is just the same than being REAL so for us is natural.

I've been in the music industry my entire life. I'm pretty jaded and not easily impressed at this point. ...but her music & voice absolutely blew my mind. She's one of those "once every 7-10 years" type artists. I'll always remember hearing her for the first time and becoming obsessed with finding absolutely everything I could hear from her. She's a true artist and she's destined to become a legend.

As an artist, and as a woman, watching this is so inspiring. I love that Rosalia curates her own vision and sound, like she isn’t bound by others’ opinions or past preconceived notions. She builds her own path herself, she takes the rules and reconstructs them in her own way, and that is so powerful and beautiful. (also, personally, as a latina living in the US, it’s really cool to see artists like her who blend all of these different inspirations and cultures together to make a piece of art such as her new album. It makes me feel seen, while also completely viewing it through her own lens)

I’m fascinated by Rosalia and truly mourn her rise as a flamenco singer. This album gave me big ΛΛΛYΛ (Maya) vibes. Definitely don't mean to compare ROSALÍA to M.I.A., but this record feels just as groundbreaking. ΛΛΛYΛ predated 'Yeezus' and really set the groundwork for a lot of experimental music, that really set the bar afterwards, MOTOMAMI feels just as revolutionary.
