"I think about your sight. cap 3: jealousy", the song narrates from the husband's perspective, talking about how he constantly thinks about what (or more importantly, who) the wife's looking at whenever she steps outside of the house and how it affects him. the first lines mean "It gives me fear whenever you step outside, smiling to the street. Because everybody can see, the little dimples that come out (of your cheeks)" - "And of the air when it passes, due to lifting your hair. And of the gold that dresses you, due to hanging on your neck. And of the sun and the moon, due to you wanting to stare at them. Even of the water that you drink, when you wet your lips". the chorus translates to "I think about your sight, your sight, your sight, it's a bullet in the chest." which gives meaning to all the men with bleeding chests in the video, it's basically the men she looked at. please check out ROSALÍA - BAGDAD (Cap.7: Liturgia)

guys just to clarify, “El Mal Querer” is not about a relationship she was in. The album is based on a book from centuries ago that talked about the relationship between a man and a woman. Guys, all that videos and songs talk about a book called Flamenca. It’s a very old book, written in the XIV century. Every song is a cap. from the book as you can see. The storie is about a girl who gets married with an abusive guy. It’s all the album El Mal Querer connected, and also, all the album and videos has references of the Flamenco, from Spain, and the places where she grows up, the culture of the country and things that she loves the must. You better listen the whole album and read the lyrics, it’s a lot in there.

Hi from Spain. It's exactly what you said. The bull's eye is the bullet. The song talks about that look of jealousy that kills you. About that person who doesn't want you to hang out with friends or alone so everyone could see your smile, your hair... A person who is jealous of the jewelry you wear because it touches your skin. Jealous of the wind... That person, his look, is a bullet to your chest.

To those who don't speak Spanish or understand the Symbolism...The song is about Jealousy. All the symbols are about Jealousy. -The bull's horns represent being *cuckolded* (cheated on by a lover). Stabbed in the back by the horns. -The "bullets" Rosalia puts in the shotgun are "eyes" as in "Mal de ojo" or a curse/evil spell that she is going to shoot into her cheating lover. -The truck drivers are infamous as lying cheaters with a a girlfriend in each town. -The black clothed figures are *agüeros* or *Omens" - the *Ides* or bearers of evil tidings. The *Ides* are for the settling of debts. In other words they are whispering that her lovers are cheating on her, and urging her into a jealous rage to kill him. A dance of death.

Additional to the explanation already given, I would add that this is actually her second album that came out on Nov. 2018, not sure why you had the information that she was "out" for 3 years.. her previous album came out on 2017, which was the first (is more a traditional flamenco oriented music, but still fresh in comparison to other traditional works). She appeared some years ago on a tv show (similar to bgt or the voice) and she was eventually rejected at the time - that drove her to keep studying and specializing in music so she made a 10 years music (conservatory, production and composition) career, and El Mal Querer (which is this album) was her bachelor's degree's project - not to compare but utterly similar to Steven Spielberg's final project to complete his bachelor of arts, which was "only" Schindler's List :)

The book narrates the story of a woman being punish by his husband so each song represents a chapter of the book. And the album came out last year around march 2018.

It´s not random, it´s spanish symbolism, her videos are full of that. The bull is the emblematic animal of Spain, as the eagle is in USA. The piece of clothe that bullfighters ( toreros) use is called ¨muleta¨. Thanks for your reaction ^^
