I love Linkin Park! And Chester’s voice is incredible! And he was nailing it on this song!
@madaeon1 Жыл бұрын
So sad that they removed the full video of this. Directly before this video starts Chester says something like "This is something we dont normally do. We're gonna play a song by another artist. Shes a local. I hope we're doing this song justice". Then he starts singing and Mike Shinoda has to stop him, because hes got the wrong pitch. I dont know, it looks like a mistake, but it still makes the performance even better for me. And the reaction from the london audience when he says "Shes a local". Goosebumps!

its strange they pulled that part out, it adds so much to the show.

He started off too high, m stopped him so he didn't blow out his voice when the higher part of the song came around. If he'd kept going in how high he was, he might have been in some pain. the whole itunes festival 2011 is still there, Rolling In The Deep starts around 1:08:10 They'd done 17 songs before this.

You should check out Chester's First Band, Grey Daze .. Absolutely phenomenal. They re-released their 2 albums from the 90's Amends, which came out about 2 years after his passing (and his Eldest Son, Jaime directed the video, and did some vocal work on 'Soul Song' on this album!) And Grey Daze released Phoenix last Summer ! Chester and his Grey Daze band mates were to start work on the 20th anniversary reissue of their initial music around the time of Chester passing away. I think that you would definitely enjoy the journey. Chester's Voice and vocal abilities and songwriting prowess were there from the time he was a teenager! Chester had One of The Most Beautiful Voices in Rock and Music in general, as he was comfortable singing different generes effortlessly. Mike Shinoda is also another beautiful, powerful vocalist and combined, those Two were Pure Magic. All 6 members of Linkin Park were/are So Very Talented as Well !!

This was the first song of the Encore portion of the concert. Linkin Park fans loved to sing along with Chester and they encourage the fans to sing with them a lot of time anyways. So the fans did it with quite a few different songs without prompting. Sometimes the band would just let the fans sing a portion of the song by themselves. They especially did that with the song In the End. Mike always asked the fans to sing with Chester for his parts of In the End. When Chester did this performance this was his second time singing this song. The first time was 2 weeks earlier at a fan Summit in Germany for their fanclub. Chester had the ability to sing any song he wanted to. He did a cover of Billy Idol's White Wedding when he was doing Kings of Chaos. He sounded just like Billy Idol in the performance. Whenever Chester did a cover of anyone else's song then he liked doing them the way the original singer did it with very little changes at all. If you really want to see a very emotional tribute to Chester. During the tribute concert the band started playing the song Numb intending to do it as an instrumental. Instead the fans started singing Numb as a tribute to Chester. The music video for Numb has over 2 billion views on KZbin and In the End has over 1.5 billion views on KZbin. Numb is 1 of the Linkin Park fans favorite songs out of all of the Linkin Park discology.

I dont think there is another man whos ever lived, that can sound like Chester. He has that 18yr old guys voice on the verge of manhood. He has a deeper version of that unique quality and high pitch voice, and a scream. He is a singular talent, that i dont think any other performer can reproduce. He will stand alone.

This was cool and all, but I guess I was kind of hoping that they would actually put a Linkin Park twist on it. I love checking out covers because it's really fun to see what another artist can do with a song that's affected them. Love this. I'm probably responsible for half of those 50 million views. 😂 Another live performance of theirs I really enjoy is when they did "In The End" in Grand Central Subway Station in NY. Not as good as this (it's mostly the fans singing) but there's such a fun vibe between Chester & the crowd in that one...& makes me somewhat emotional seeing him so happy in that moment & knowing he's gone now. Another great live performance by Chester is when he did the song "The Messenger" in front of a small group of people in an acoustic setting. It was a very touching rendition. Not the greatest production quality in these videos, but still fun to check out, even on your own time.
