She states that, "This song was very difficult, but I did my best." At first, she's running a bit rough; by the middle, she's mastered it; by the end, she owns it. Incredible.

@@miktoh Absolutely right. If you want he clearest giveaway on how difficult the Pocaro shuffle is . . . look at Yoyoka's face. This girl has done covers of Led Zepplin, Queen, Grand Funk, Stray Cats, RHCP and Foo FIghters, and maintained a beaming smile and loose body language throughout. This one, she has to really focus and concentrate. Not only is this HELLA difficult for a drummer to play, but it shifts both tempo and pattern several times throughout the song. She may not have it down 100%, but Ive seen drummers who have been drumming professionally for three times longer than Yoyoka has been alive . . . and they STILL struggle to keep the groove. Thank you again Yoyoka! You are truly the best. As for you @Darren Frank . . . . dude . . . . if you want to see something thatll blow your mind, watch Yoyoka do "Rock this Town" while standing on one foot throughout the entire song. Hell, most people cant even stand on one foot for that long when doing NOTHING ELSE. . . . . and that was TWO YEARS AGO! kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2m7Xn13f5x2eNk

In the 90s I was a touring bandleader for a couple of different solo artists, and hence I auditioned a LOT of drummers (I'm no drummer, by the way). This was always the tune I asked for first... which saved me a LOT of time. Many many (otherwise very good) drummers just cannot get this groove down. Hence this performance is just astonishing.

she is so rock solid, that it sounds like a robot playing drums, but if you do listen she improvises the shuffle the entire way through, and never misses a beat, ever...not one flaw. this is why she is a prodigy. truly extraordinary in every sense of the word
@Kevin-tj6nw
@Kevin-tj6nw 4 жыл бұрын
@@treatb09 Are you serious? The entire performance was flawed. She even apologized in the description, saying she "did her best". There are plenty of Rosanna performances on KZbin showing how a shuffle beat is played properly and this is not one of them. Yeah, she's cute, she's only 10 years old, but come on - labeling this extraordinary? Not even close.
