OMG!!! your version is awesomely "EXCELLENT!!! I also sing this song at my gig! I am a Piano Bar Entertainer on board the ships of "Carnival Cruise Lines". I've never heard such a wonderfully crafted arrangements, and orchetration. Your version on every "Billy Joel" songs are better than ever, or I should say, innovatively well done! The man is a legend, I took my mum to see Elio in Peterborough doing his Elvis show with Steve Ashton (on drums), there was a mix-up with the ticket sales so only about 60 ish were there. Most prima donas would of cancelled, but Elio apologised and said: Let’s just pretend I came round your house and we ordered a few pizzas’, absolute class!

Hello - just came across this! What a fantastic version. As a huge Billy Joel fan and a pianist - keyboard player, can I please ask if a real acoustic piano was used? The piano sound is perfect. Also the background strings really add so much to the finished sound. ~ Anthony

Sorry to Billy Joel, but this guy’s ability to play the piano might be better than Billy. He is playing this song in Bb key but not using transpose, while Billy does.

Lol thats just not true. Billy can definitely play this song in Bb. Yes he does use a transposer live but that doesnt mean anything. He wrote the song in the first place, and is a talented piano player, with songs in all kinds of keys. There is an interview he did recently its about 50 minutes on KZbin of him talking about his career, and somehwere he talks about how he wrote new york state of mind in too high of a key, and starts to play it in i think Bb or A

he plays it in the original key and the piano is transposed (he is using an electric piano) so I'm not sure how what you're saying is related to his piano abilities.
