I’m the key man for the facility we practice in at 9AM every week. I got sick overnight and had to call our instructor at 7:30AM to cancel Thursday. Two of us travel 45 minutes to get there. Close call. I felt ok by noon. Food poisoning i think. Stuff happens. When you retire, you discover all the undone things. I had to restart my company after four years of retirement at 79. I turn 80 next month. Oh well, the money doesn’t hurt. Fortunately, my hands are still good. I hope you find something that gives you some relief.

On your milling jig - if you had two lengths of 2"x1" either side with holes for threaded rod and washers/nuts going between the blocks this would hold everything steady.

All cider shingles I know of are cut (SPLIT) with a thick sharp blade. Maybe you can use a draw-knife and a hammer. Split off a shingle every 30 sec. Video: AKJrxi-2sMc

@@tuttova I have never been a good speller. Maybe next year I will be better when I am 73.
