Had Roscoe's record in my collection many a year ago, A remarkable and unique musician, moved to create where he found himself. "High lonesome" it is. May be bluegrass, but certainly blues. Thanks.

I'm a Holcomb and he's my kin. I'm really glad his music lives on. He was a pioneer of a couple genres of music. R.I.P.

I have one of his albums in my very small collection and over the years I've gotten rid of a lot of them but never his and never will

Hey that tune sounds familiar 😁. That's why i love the folk music tradition. It's "roll your own" music. The way it should be, something we are sadly missing in the modern world. I especially love the Southern Appalachian tradition, it's so ancient and dark and melancholy sounding. It's not my heritage directly, but it still speaks to me.

Roscoe is like the PKD of Bluegrass.

I prefer Doc Boggs style, i just can't get into the up tempo bluegrass sound. I like it okay, but it isn't the same as the old timey sound. Although this guy has great vocals.
