Roscoe Mitchell is a pillar of living, thriving music, rich music that has intrigued and inspired us; and listening to this interview fills us with gratitude, and it helps sustaining the "positive outlook" both men are referring to.

What struck me most about this interview is the true intelligence of Mr. Mitchell. He has such an easy, nice, gracious way about him, doesn't he? What a brilliant musician he is. Monk, as usual, asks such excellent questions and keeps it real and relatable and educational. Terrific!
