Personally I have not, and always like to grow them in pots. If you have potted it's okay. Water only if it's dry, do not over water.

Hello Sir - Are those stems above Budded spot? Appo cut panna vendam. Wait for sometime, you will know if it's setting bud. Else you can soft prune as needed.
