Just do what Jenny does, when Jenny does it if you live anywhere in the South to keep beautiful David Austin roses! I’ve got 14 varieties of DA roses & since I’ve been following along with Jenny, my roses have NEVER been more healthy & beautiful! Mine are not yet in bloom but they are covered in buds so I can’t wait to see them flush with color! ❤

Oh my, your climbing rose on the trellis takes my breath away..❤. You and Laura have me all emotional today showing off your roses. Purple was my moms favorite color and when you showed the purple roses i lost it. My mom loved to work in her vegetable garden and her flower garden. I hope some day i will have beautiful flowers like my mom did. Thank you for sharing your beautiful flowers with us. 33:26

Love my David Austin roses and love that you are highlighting them today, Jenny! Sadly we had rose rosette disease in my area of North Texas for several years. But thankful I never lost my David Austin roses. I did lose my Julia Child last year. That was a shock. So ordering another one along with Lady Banks to plant in the other side of our pool on a trellis. Thanks for my beautiful morning walk in the garden - where God started everything! 💗🌺🌷🌸🌼🪴👩🌾💐🎶💗

Jenny, Years ago, I gave up on roses as I was only successful w/ a single plant, a red climber, & even that has struggled in my yard. Thanks to your encouragement, I got brave last summer & planted a small Oso Easy Italian Ice rose. Even tho it was their smallest pot size (qt., I believe), it has already filled out into a substantial mound & is full of buds. I can't wait for them to start opening! Thank you!!! 😊

I'm jealous that you can have so many roses. Rose rosette disease is so prevalent in my area that it is a huge risk to have multiple roses in your garden unless you keep them far away from one another.

2 years ago I bought what I thought was A Gertrude Jekyll and I believe it must've lost its tag at the nursery and someone thought they had the right plant but it clearly isn't. I think it's Desdemona. It's certainly not a climber. It's still beautiful, it just needs to be moved. I HATE don't that. Older varieties sometimes give roses a bad name. I have an older rose that I don't know the name of. Every year it gets the black spot disease and it's plenty of work picking all those leaves up and taking them off the property as to not spread the disease any further. Spraying for the aphids and thrips seems to be a never ending chore. My David Austin roses seem to be less prone to some of those older varieties Achilles heel. It's amazing to see how much further along your more southern garden than mine here in CT. Good growing, Creekside! Hope you have a stupendous year business wise and that the garden gremlins will pass you by!

Beautiful roses. At your recommendation I used the Tree and Shrub drench a couple of weeks ago and will apply my Bayer 3 in 1 today. Hopefully that will keep the Japanese beetles away this year. There is a rose at my mother in laws house that is a Seven Sisters, I believe is the name. It is probably at least 40 years old. Do you, I think I could be successful at digging it up and moving it to my house? The old house is destined to be torn down, and I sure would love to have the rose. Would I cut it completely back to a manageable size, then try digging it up? I know it has to be 14 ft or more high.

I just ordered the ferti-lome you recommended :) Maybe there's some hope for my crepe myrtles this year :) It makes me crazy to see them covered with those beetles...lol I try feverishly to remove them, but I have 6 crepe myrtles and have a full time job, and trying to manually remove beetles is like another full time job...lol
