hi, 1. Unfortunately there is no nursery in pune who sells rose varieties by their names, Have to order them through, courier or railway courier from Pushpanjali Khadakpur or KSG bangalore but you might get some nice varieties on solapur road nurseries double delight, summer snow, flamboyant , gladiator etc 2. roses in pune perform good in summers, best in mansoon and better in winter they flower all year around, unlike colder climates where frost stops their growth, so by stopping their feeding (fertiliser) we can push them into dormancy (there is one aspect of soil media too), stop feeding 45 - 60 days prior to your pruning, i will recommend you to do this only if you are willing to participate in exibition

Hi I just wanted to know it's feb 1st and in Hyderabad we have already started summer. Can my rose pots be kept on open terrace without any net covering as I do not have the option to tie green net. Will my rose plants survive in the open terrace during hot season. Plz suggest. Thanks.

अगर आपने रोझ गार्डनिंग की अभी अभी शूरवात की है तो आप आधी मिट्टी और आधा कोकोपीट मिक्स करके उसमे एक गमले के लिये 30 ग्राम वर्मीकंपोस्ट और 30 ग्राम बोनमिल मिक्स कारे और गमले मे पौधा लागा दिजीये ऍडव्हान्स लेव्हल मे आप पुरे के पुरे कोकोपीट याफिर सिंडर मे लागा सकते है ईसका result बहुत बढिया मिलता लेकीन मेंटेनन्स भी ज्यादा होता है, मेरा मानना ये है की पहले soil base potting mix मे सही तरिके से उगना सिखना चाहीये और उसके बाद ऍडव्हान्स लेव्हल पर जाना चाहीये , मैने भी ऐसा ही किया था

pushpanjali shantanu 9609112524 pushpanjali Pranabir 7365070003/7384421473 remember 1. always order with root ball 2. keep your media and pots ready before ordering roses 3. plant roses on the same evening you have received them, transplanting in evening is recommended, 4.soak the plants for 20 to 30 min in 2 gram per lit of saaf or 1 gm per lit of score this reduces the chances of dieback 5. then plant them in pots with media , give application of 2 gm humic acid + 2 gram rooting hormone per liter of water and apply this solution in roots (drenching)strip all the leaves with pruner while planting. 6. keep the plants for one day in full shade then two days in semi shade and then expose them to full sunlight 7. you can reapply the fungicide and rooting hormone solution once a week till it starts growing some leaves 8. after leaves come out you can gradually start giving fertilizer best wishes👍🏻

What is the main difference in floribanda and polienthus?

Good question sir, Polyantha (first developed around 1870s) +Hybrid Tea(first developed in 1867) = floribanda In olden days around 100 years ago this hybridisation took place and floribanda class was developed Major difference is floribanda has cluster of medium size flowers and comparitively polyantha flowers are smaller This is the reason in the rose competition polyanthas are displayed with miniature roses (tiny clyster of flowers) section One more thing there are quite limited varieties of polyantha roses available in india and in past 50 years polyanthas are over hybridised with miniature roses so the difference between polyantha and miniature roses has narrowed down a lot I hope i have answered your question best wishes

Sir, What will happen rose plants in summers? Can they burn on that period? Because in my state the Highest temperature reaches on 45-47 degree Celsius in Summer, and according to you 6 to 8 Hours direct sun light requires for Hybrid Tea Roses.

Whenever temperature goes above 38 degree Celsius, morning and evening watering is must,roses will survive, give them some showering and do not apply any chemical fertilisers in those particular days where do you stay ?
