Yes I agree with you Denise! Jamie you’re a doll and thank you so much for sharing your tips, tricks and techniques. I feel like I struggle with balayages and especially when I do a root touchup and this video has helped me so much. I’m here thinking “why didn’t I think of that!” Haha! I tend to overthink things and always second guess myself. Will definitely try the foilyage method on my 16 yr old daughter! She will be my guinea pig😌 Love your work Jamie! Love your ig, love your KZbin...I just heart you 😍

Thank you for this! I had rose gold highlights for a while and I loved them, but I decided I want my hair to be rose gold overall, with a shadow root. I was a little nervous about lightening my very dark hair to be light enough to take the rose gold color, but seeing this video made me feel a lot better. In addition to my reference photos for the color I'm hoping to achieve, I might talk to my hairstylist about some of the things you mention in this video.

With any fashion color, it's definitely more up-keep! It's up to the clients tolerance on how much the fade bothers them, but if they want to keep it fresh I recommend refreshing every 3-4 weeks.

It looked amazing, I wish I can do something like this with as much confidence. You added conditioner to the Color for toning, that's something new to learn. Usually we add a 10 or a 20 volume for tonning. How does just a conditioner help?
@starmane88404 жыл бұрын
She added conditioner because she’s toning with direct dyes (non oxidative color). Direct dyes don’t use developer at all. The conditioner is just to dilute the shade of direct dye and loosen it up. Hope that makes sense.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!!! 😍😍😍 just one question.. I’m curious why you didn’t do the foilyage first, rinse, then apply the root color, then apply the rose gold after so both process at the same time? Was it because you wanted the darker color blended down further inside the foils? TIYA!

I feel like it's obvious but I'm just not getting it. What do you do with the foilyage pieces you weave out? Do you leave them untouched? Also, is the root color only there to cover grays, or does it serve another purpose? Is the color you formulated for the root color the same as her natural level?
@JamieDana5 жыл бұрын
Hey Autumn! The pieces left out will be covered by the Rose Gold formula. Root colors can be used to cover greys and/or add depth. Thanks for watching!

Hey! I loved your video! the only question I have is how long this pink should last? I've been looking for options in my country (Chile), and nothing pink lasts more than 3-5 washes. Is this always true for pink dyes? Thank you!
@JamieDana5 жыл бұрын
Fantasy colors will rinse out pretty quickly and the red family is usually the quickest to fade! I would recommend they wash and rinse their hair in cold water and use color safe shampoo! Touch ups for this tone usually can be pushed out to 4 weeks if they are taking good care of it. Thanks for watching!
