I love rose gold. I really love the way it complements my skin tone. Just like you mentioned it looks subtle and beautiful with diamonds and other gemstones.

I am a makeup artist but I did study jewellery designing as well. I love rose gold for the following reasons . 1) It compliments all skin tones and undertones 2) It looks good with in most light settings. 3) It pairs well with most gemstones . 4) It is the most durable ( I prefer 18k mostly). 5) It looks trendy yet timeless at the same time. 6) I live in India and there are plenty of snatchers, since it’s not very popular here those thieves think it’s copper or costume jewellery. So safety ( little bit). 7) It looks good with my ethnic outfit as well as western so saves money. 8) Compliments other metals in my bag hardware or belt beautifully. 9) Compliments most of my outfits, goes well with pastels, jewel tones and neutrals . Although I wear black or white mostly. 10) The above qualities makes it a sexy metal. One downside is there, I prefer to match the metals in my outfit and accessories. Belts you may still find with rose gold hardware but it’s tough to find handbags and shoes with rose gold hardware. ( I guess only Tory Burch and Hermes do few bags with rose gold hardware.)

I have a matte rose gold engagement ring and I love it. It’s so versatile and love that I can mix all the metals and I think the rose gold helps create a cohesive look when wearing silver and/or gold jewelry.

What is the point of white gold if you rhodium plate it anyway? You don’t even see the beautiful cool white tone because it’s covered by rhodium and indistinguishable from rhodium plated regular gold.

I was first turned on to rose gold by buying an antique gold heart padlock bracelet. I wear it everyday and absolutely LOVE it. I find some of the modern rose gold pieces just a bit too coppery. But the antique pieces are more subtle and mellow and have a true rosy pink color and are stunning. Thanks for your video!

My engagement/wedding ring was set in white gold. I have an olive complexion that leans warm, rose gold suits it well! For our anniversary my hubby got my ring reset into one rose gold band. I thought I loved it before but now I really love my ring! The main stone is a lavender sapphire so the purple with the rose gold compliment each other very well. It’s very unique and I get compliments all the time on it.

I grew up in Russian, and rose gold was all we knew. We didn’t call it rose gold, it’s was just gold. I love it! Most of my necklaces are in rose gold. My skin has a yellow undertone , so rose gold looks the most flattering on me. I am currently having a wedding ring designed as a replacement for the one I lost a few years ago, and I was on the fence whether to go with platinum or rose gold. Ultimately I decided to go with platinum because 1 you never have to worry about scratching it. From what I understand, when you polish gold, any color, you take away the metal, but when you polish platinum, you just redistribute the metal that’s already there and never take any away. But I do intend to add a skinny U-shaped shared prong diamond eternity band next to my wedding ring and that one will be in rose gold. Another reason I decided on platinum for the wedding ring is I feel like white colored metal makes the diamonds look bigger, smts you don’t even see where one ends and another begins (like in the pave band), whereas in rose gold it’s a bit more visible. Question, the diff between rose and white gold- rose gold is an alloy, so it’s the same throughout, but white gold is basically yellow gold that has rhodium plating that needs to be reapplied regularly to stay white and shiny, is that correct?

No, not correct: Gold must be mixed with a white metal(s) like nickel, palladium or silver which makes white gold a light grey color. To give white gold its sought after sheen, it is then rhodium plated. Therefore, white gold is not yellow gold that is just rhodium plated, it has already been made white with the alloys that gold is mixed with to become white. Rhodium just makes it brighter and shiner to make it look as beautiful as platinum. Without the rhodium plating it is still white but with a tingy gray look which I personally do not like. I will only buy white gold if it is rhodium plated to make it as beautiful as platinum but cost's less money.

I have always loved Rose and Old gold pieces. I have Cartier pieces, Georg Jensen and other diamond pieces . . All in rose. I feel that it helps me be uniquely me. Most women these days wear yellow gold to follow a trend, despite it not complimenting their skin tone. Jewellery should be curated over time and worn as though it is part of your body. Each piece tells a story and when you invest in pieces that are genuine, there is never a reason to have to take them off. They become your signature.

I have a 14k rose gold engagement ring! It's from Kay's, and it's absolutely stunning. My fiancé chose it, and it's the most beautiful ring I've ever seen, IMHO! He chose it because it's unique, and it really is. It's soooooooo pretty! It has a round-cut diamond, set in white gold, with a crown (chevrons) of little diamonds, top and bottom, and paving. The rose gold band is an ornate compliment to the diamonds' sparkle. He couldn't have chosen better. He said I could have it dipped in rhodium to make it white, but NO WAY! I've never seen a rose gold engagement ring, and I love that it's not common. P.S. I have a matching wedding band too. It was a bridal set.

I like rose gold but hesitate to buy it. Beautiful when it's new but over time the copper causes it to tarnish and the jewelry looks like an old penny which is not appealing to me at all. What do you do about that, can the jewelry be polished back to new or is their a tarnish remover you can buy like for example tarnish remover for silver? Having naturally copper coloured hair, 14k rose gold is very similar in colour and shade to my hair and so it compliments my colouring well. I also love how rose gold looks with diamonds more so than yellow gold- it doesn't compete
