Good to see Rose again. I know it's shallow, but you can see the wear and tear of being a pro fighter on her face. She was the prettiest fighter I'd ever seen, especially before she was known. Good gosh, just stunning. Her poor nose and cheek bones have taken a beating. She is still beautiful but it's painful to see the damage.

@voyageFN

the match was fun but I think Lutes was just the most aggresive and held onto his position-not in a bad way, he threatened submissions and advanced his position but when he got and an advantage Atkins just couldn't get out from underneath that pressure

It's submission grappling, not wresting, not boxing, not kickboxing, weight plays a lot less of a difference in this event. Not none but substantially less. The flexibility matters so much more than strength and the more strength you have the less flexibility.

Sure, the support of her family and teammates is crucial but let's not get it twisted. Her professors are like two of the most ridiculous Jiu-Jitsu masters in the world. Danaher is a pretty much a genius / guru and Gordon is a record-breaking beast that absolutely crushed the ADCC. That type of wizardry would form any passionate, willing & malleable practitioner into an unstoppable foe. The proof is in the pudding. I'm jelly....

Thats one thing I really don't like about BJJ is when people sit on their butt and just try to pull guard. I men it works in BJJ but that isn't going to help at all in an actual fight or self-defense situation... That is one place where wrestling definitely outshines BJJ. Watching Rose is great. She's offensive, takedowns, not dropping to her butt, trying to pull guard... I think you should lose points for dropping and trying to pull guard. Its useless!!
