'I Wanna Get Next to You' ... wait, let me explain ... a great Rose Royce love jam also from the movie 'Car Wash' and one of my favorites of all time (and I'm a R&R guy). 'Car Wash' would be good flick to review. Kind of a (generally) fun look at life in the 70s. (Almost qualifies as "so bad it's good" but I think it's a genuinely good movie.)

Her name is Gwen "Rose" Dickey. This group was the brainchild of super producer, Norman Whitfield. Whitfield came from Motown Records and was responsible for some of the Temptations greatest songs like Ball Of Confusion, Runaway Child, Running Wild, and my favorite, Don't Let The Joneses Get You Down. Whitfield debuted Rose Royce on the soundtrack to the movie, CAR WASH.

Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu - Wiyathul His voice brings tears to my eyes on many a night filled with loneliness and whiskey. He was born blind, hails from a very remote indigenous tribe in northern Australia and learned to play the guitar as a left-handed player, with the guitar upside down. He's performed all over the world, in front of Obama and the Queen of England amongst others. His fans include Sting and Elton John, and his voice is pure magic. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2017. He was a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and singer. I think you'll adore it.
