Thanks for the tutorial, it was well explained and easy to follow. I was using a different kind of yarn and I would rate my turtle 3.5/5 stars comparatively to how yours came out, but I'm sure my sister will love it either way. Not bad for my first amigurumi. This turned out so cute! I messed up the shell somehow and didn't get the little edge like it's supposed to have but I still like it. I used felt for the eyes and sewed it on so it can be safe for a baby.

This is a great tutorial but I would not recommend this yarn for beginners, especially the light grey colour. It's extremely hard to see your stitches and difficult to tell where they are if you don't have experience with amigurumi. You need somewhat of a built intutition to know where they are. The pattern is perfect to start out though

Lol this was the problem I had. I used a chenel type yarn and had to put a stitch marker on EVERY stitch. Lesson learned. Lol but I got it done! Just waiting for eyes to get here so I can do the head.

You went so fast for the part at the back I couldn't see how you were keeping the pink separated from showing up in the gray. Basically, you start your sc. You pull up a loop and before you pull your yarn through, you take your new colour of yarn and pull through the beginning tail of that one instead. So: insert hook, pull up a loop with shell colour, pull through with new colour. Continue with new colour in the following stitches.

Lol But the 2nd and 3rd were much, much faster as I became more familiar with the pattern. I tried different chenille yarns, too, since I had a few different kinds already at home.
